Professional Experience
As Vice President of Golf, Jason Sudenga oversees all golf operations at Willow Run, Bakker Crossing, Central Valley, Rocky Run, and Fox Run. Jason has been a Class A PGA professional for over 20 years. He has been the Vice President of Golf for GreatLIFE since 2014. He has worked at every level of golf from an exclusive private club in Southern California, The Farms Golf Club, to one of the busiest golf courses in the midwest, Lake Shawnee Golf Course, and the mid-priced public golf course, Bakker Crossing.
Jason has been working as a golf professional in the Sioux Falls market for the last 17 golf seasons. Before becoming the director of golf for GreatLIFE, Jason was the head golf professional at Bakker Crossing Golf Course. Jason opened Bakker Crossing in 2002.
Opening a 18-hole championship golf course from day one has given Jason valuable experience in all aspects of golf course operations. Creating leagues, junior golf programs and an excellent tournament program are just a few things he has accomplished while at Bakker Crossing.
Jason is an accomplished teacher and player. He was honored by the Minnesota Section of the PGA in 2015, receiving the Player Development Award. In 2010 US Kids gave Jason Honorable Mention as a teacher. Jason has won several tournaments as a PGA professional.
Education and Certifications
Jason has worked personally with top instructors such as Hank Haney, Stan Utley, Phil Rogers and Mike Malaska. Jason’s students have won club championships, state opens and qualified for USGA Championships.
